Last updated: July 17, 2026
Information we collect
When you create or use an Equivly account, we may collect your name, email address, school relationships, home state, saved courses, plans, guidance progress, and other information you provide through the platform.
When you request an institution demo, we collect your name, work email, institution, role or title, optional institution and transfer-credit URLs, primary goal, optional notes, and scheduling follow-up information.
We may also collect technical and usage information such as device and browser details, pages visited, searches, feature interactions, and diagnostic data needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide account access, course-equivalency search, transfer guidance, planning tools, institutional demonstrations, support, security, and product improvements.
Demo-request information is used to respond to your inquiry, prepare for and schedule a meeting, understand institutional needs, discuss potential pilots, and send related follow-up communications. You may ask us to stop non-essential follow-up at any time.
Service providers
Equivly uses service providers that process information on our behalf, including Supabase for application data and authentication, Resend for transactional email, Google Calendar and Google Meet for demo scheduling and meetings, AWS Amplify for hosting, Mapbox for location features, and government or institutional data sources used by the product.
These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, an institution participating in an authorized implementation, or as required to protect rights, safety, security, or comply with law. We may also disclose information as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, support institutional conversations, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type and purpose of the information.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements. You can also ask questions about our privacy practices or opt out of non-essential institutional follow-up by contacting us.
